Position Overview
We are looking for a Lead Coach who is ready to bridge the gap between coaching excellence and studio leadership. This individual delivers a best-in-class member experience while supporting the Head Coach and Studio Manager in maintaining operational standards and driving studio performance. This role is ideal for a candidate with a \"growth mindset\" who is looking for upward mobility and a clear path toward future leadership opportunities within Orangetheory Fitness.
We Offer
Compensation:
Listed pay of $35 to $65 per session includes base pay + bonuses for certified personal trainers.
Cash Incentives:
Customer referrals, employee referrals and regular performance reviews with potential pay increases.
Direct Career Track:
Six-month track to become a Head Fitness Coach with pay increase.

Day In The Life of a Fitness Coach
Lead high-impact classes
Deliver Orangetheory workouts with energy, precision, and consistency—setting the standard for coaching, cues, demos, and overall member experience.
Create a standout member experience
Build an inclusive, motivating environment; connect with members before, during, and after class to drive results and long-term engagement.
Own the intro experience & conversions
Guide first-time guests through a seamless intro class; support strong handoffs to sales and contribute to high conversion rates.
Develop and support the coaching team
Assist with onboarding new coaches, participate in trainings, and provide peer feedback to maintain consistent studio standards.
Drive retention through relationships
Proactively engage with at-risk or low-usage members; build accountability and ensure follow-ups are tracked in studio systems.
Support community and studio growth
Participate in events, challenges, and local outreach efforts to strengthen the studio’s presence and community.
Ensure smooth studio operations
Help with coaching schedules and class coverage; maintain cleanliness, organization, and equipment standards.
Build toward leadership
Learn studio KPIs and performance metrics; support Head Coach initiatives and prepare for expanded leadership responsibilities.
Requirements
No degree is needed. We require a national fitness certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or NCCA accredited equivalent) or the ability to obtain a certification.
