
Manager, Meetings & Convention

The National Community Pharmacists Association (close to King Street Metro) is seeking experienced candidates for a Manager, Meetings & Convention position. NCPA fosters a dynamic and empowering work environment. Responsibilities
The candidate will assist the Director, Meetings and Convention in the planning and execution of association-wide meetings and events. They will coordinate logistics for venues and vendors, support budget preparations, assist in cross-departmental reconciliations, assist with scheduling and timeline management, and communicate with internal teams while managing on-site event operations.
Qualifications
Candidate should possess 2‑4 years of progressive experience in meeting/event planning, have strong organizational and multitasking skills, an innovative approach, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Airtable, Asana, and social tables/diagram or similar tools. They should be proactive, a problem solver, and experienced with large-scale events/conferences. Managing an event portfolio of up to 10 events per year is a plus. Position will require domestic travel to meeting venues.
Schedule and Compensation
We offer a hybrid working schedule: from Memorial Day to Labor Day, in‑office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, remote work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. From Labor Day to Memorial Day, in‑office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Salary commensurate with experience.
