We are seeking a

Safety, Environment & Training Leader

to ensure an efficient safe, compliant, and well‑trained operation.

This is a

people‑focused role

working closely with the Site Leader, Manufacturing Team Leader, Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, and other functional leaders to build a strong safety culture, maintain environmental compliance, develop effective training systems, and improve leadership and associate capability across the site.

Lead. Improve. Make an Impact.

Lead site safety efforts promoting a culture where safety is a visible top priority in both words and actions.

Ensures compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and related regulatory requirements.

Directs Plant Safety Coordinators and Safety Steering Team to prioritize safety projects and resources appropriately.

Communicates successes, concerns, and action plans with urgency and professionalism. Problem solver.

Leads, supports, or facilitates incident investigations, near miss reviews, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow‑up verification.

Develops and maintains training matrices, training plans, qualification systems, and refresher training processes.

Promotes standardized work, clear expectations, and consistent training methods to improve safety, quality, productivity, and associate engagement.

Leads the site training system for hourly and salaried associates to ensure training requirements are identified, documented, completed, and sustained.

Evaluates training effectiveness and recommends improvements based on performance data, observations, incidents, and business needs.

Be a leader and role model of company values and professional conduct.

Work collaboratively across departments to remove barriers and improve results

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree required (Safety, Science or Engineering preferred)

Manufacturing experience with preferred 2 years of leadership experience

OSHA, environmental, training, lean, or continuous improvement certifications are a plus

Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate others.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred

Strong verbal and written communication skills
