Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00). Will rotate between acute and LTC care with every other weekend.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high‑quality care for patients with respiratory disorders. Qualified candidates will have experience in acute care settings and be familiar with a variety of diagnostic tools and therapeutic modalities.
Responsibilities
Conduct patient assessments and monitor overall patient status.
Manage ventilators and provide pulmonary hygiene care.
Perform blood gas sampling and identify emergency situations.
Administer various forms of oxygen therapy and nebulization treatments.
Assist with intubation and extubation as needed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Must have a valid New York state license.
At least 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably with charge experience.
Current certifications: BLS, RRT required.
Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is preferred.
