We are hiring a

Principal Systems Engineer (Infoblox DDI)

to work in

Laurel, MD . Position location is subject to change based on central MD client's needs.

Description:
Will be an integral member of the DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI) Operations Team. Responsible for the automation of requirements management, change management, requirements gathering/tracking, and configuration management. Projects require automated solutions to effectively manage the requirements, link source documents, and architecture. The Systems Engineer shall work with teams to identify, engineer, and implement the most optimum automated solution that follows approved processes for a given project or infrastructure. In addition, the Systems Engineer shall work with all other infrastructure support teams as part of a solution to identify, engineer, and implement solutions that integrate with the automation/infrastructure/productivity tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design and implement secure and scalable DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions using Infoblox DDI.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex DDI issues

Automate DDI workflows to improve efficiency

Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal teams on all aspects of DDI, including IPv4 and IPv6

Maintain awareness of the latest Infoblox DDI features and best practices

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Ability to obtain DOD8570-M, IAT Level 1

Experience with DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Load Balancing (F5/DTC)

Familiar with outages, latency issues, & trouble shooting

Proven experience designing and implementing DDI solutions

Experience with load balancing technologies

Strong understanding of networking concepts, including IPv4 and IPv6

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Experience with scripting (Perl, Python) and automation tools a plus

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

DNS experience with an understanding of maintenance of Infoblox

In-depth knowledge of Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)

Experience applying system engineering methodologies and principles

Familiar with developing modern business methods, and identifying best practices

Experienced with executing as key coordinator between multiple project teams
