Sr. Project Engineer

Körber Pharma Packaging AG, Irving, TX, United States

The Senior Project Engineer serves as the engineering lead on customer-facing system integration projects, owning execution from concept through commissioning. This role ensures delivery of complex material handling systems on time, on budget, and to scope. It is central to Körber’s mission to scale its integration business and requires technical depth, operational rigor, and direct customer engagement.

Your role in our team

You will lead execution-based engineering for large-scale system integration projects, acting as the primary technical point of contact for customers and internal teams.

You will translate requirements into actionable engineering plans, coordinating mechanical design, equipment specifications, and on-site implementation.

You will work across disciplines (Mechanical, Controls, Electrical, Software) to align deliverables, troubleshoot issues, and drive schedule adherence.

You will manage engineering execution from kick-off through commissioning, including site support, FAT/SAT participation, and resolution of field issues.

You will oversee internal and external engineering resources, including offshore teams or outsourced partners, on a per-project basis.

You will apply practical understanding of conveyor, singulation, sortation, and other material handling technologies to ensure seamless system performance.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, and Manufacturing to validate feasibility, cost, and scope alignment during project planning.

You will travel up to 30% to support customer integration projects.

Your profile

You have obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.

You have gained a minimum of five (5) years of experience in system-level engineering, ideally in material handling, automation, or capital equipment environments.

You have experience with 3D CAD tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks, and are familiar with developing full technical data packages (drawings, BOMs, manuals).

You can balance design intent with execution realities, managing scope, cost, and resource constraints.

You have a collaborative, hands‑on mindset with the ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments where outcomes matter.

You have a strong track record in project execution—owning technical delivery from engineering through on‑site installation.

Eligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

You will enjoy a flexible work environment that supports your work‑life balance; we offer paid time off for parental leave and 22+ days off for personal time and holidays.

You will have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance plans with FSA or HSA options, and a 401(k) plan with a company match of up to six percent.

You are provided with several company‑paid benefits, including vision insurance, short and long‑term disability, basic life insurance plans, and educational and employee assistance programs.
