Responsibilities
Review patient records and monitor progress to inform care decisions
Conduct continuing review of hospitalization to assess necessity, length of stay, and quality of care
Provide utilization review and case management services for referred‑care program patients
Collaborate with physicians, leadership, and care teams to ensure appropriate, cost‑effective interventions
Coordinate discharge planning and patient/family education to support timely discharge
Ensure accurate documentation and communication with payers and regulatory entities as required
Requirements
Active Alaska Registered Nurse license; must be in good standing
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
8 years of clinical nursing experience, with 3 years in chart review, risk management, or related quality service
Case Management certification preferred (e.g., NCQA, CCMC)
Flu vaccine required
Fingerprinting/clearance process required; start date will be no earlier than 5 weeks after fingerprint submission and processing
