UPMC Altoona is seeking a board‑certified/board‑eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care physician to join our team in Altoona, PA. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of general and advanced pulmonary disorders and will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced critical care medicine during ICU rotations.
About the Position
Full‑time combined pulmonary practice with ICU rotations
Access to a state‑of‑the‑art bronchoscopy suite, including routine bronchoscopy, robotic bronchoscopy, and EBUS
CT‑guided lung biopsies and ultrasound‑guided thoracentesis in partnership with a highly supportive Interventional Radiology team
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support in both the pulmonary clinic and ICU
Strong institutional commitment to high‑quality, compassionate patient care
24/7 in‑house intensivist/APP coverage, minimizing after‑hours responsibilities for pulmonologists
