We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Field Service Engineer
specializing in
Mammography
to join our client’s growing team of technical experts across Arizona. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and safety of diagnostic imaging equipment used in healthcare settings. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of mammography systems, with additional experience in other imaging modalities such as X‑ray being highly advantageous. You will serve as a key technical liaison between the company and healthcare providers, delivering timely, high‑quality service that supports patient care and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to excellence in customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work independently in diverse clinical environments while contributing to the advancement of diagnostic imaging technology and patient outcomes.
Work Schedule
Primarily Monday thru Friday normal business hours occasional evening and weekends.
Responsibilities
Perform on‑site installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration of mammography imaging systems in compliance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues with diagnostic imaging equipment in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive environments.
Conduct routine system verifications, image quality assessments, and compliance testing to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety and quality benchmarks.
Accurately document all service activities, including diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and test results, in accordance with company quality management and compliance protocols.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment used for system verification and performance evaluation.
Submit detailed and timely field service reports using company‑approved systems and formats.
Collaborate effectively with account managers to communicate service status, equipment history, and recommendations for corrective actions.
Manage and safeguard company‑owned tools, diagnostic equipment, and spare parts to ensure readiness for all service calls.
Stay current with evolving technologies, regulatory changes (e.g., FDA, ACR, MQSA), and manufacturer updates related to mammography and other imaging modalities.
Travel to multiple customer sites across Arizona, including occasional overnight stays and air travel as needed.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Radiologic Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Hands‑on field service experience with mammography imaging systems.
Proven experience in X‑ray systems or other medical imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI, Ultrasound) is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and repair complex diagnostic imaging equipment.
Strong understanding of imaging system physics, radiation safety, and quality assurance protocols.
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; must be willing and able to travel extensively within a 4‑hour radius and occasionally fly for assignments.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in confined or elevated spaces during service calls.
Commitment to maintaining a high standard of professionalism, customer service, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Travel Required
Frequent travel within a 4‑hour radius; occasional overnight stays and air travel.
