Sr. Accounts Payable Analyst

Job Summary
We seek a highly motivated Sr. Accounts Payable (A/P) Analyst to learn and grow within a fast-paced organization. We are building an AP team of high performers and trusted partners who leverage data to deliver strategic insights and empower decision-making, solve problems, and mitigate risks. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, communicative, able to work independently, and a team player with a solid knowledge of A/P operations. This individual will be a subject matter expert on our A/P-related systems and policies. This role will be successful by being meticulous, personable, and able to take direction and initiative. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Operation Manager and regularly interacts with various company departments.
Job Location
This is a hybrid position based in our corporate office in Atlanta, GA.
Job Responsibilities
Effectively participate in day-to-day Accounts Payable activities.
Perform supplier statement reconciliations.
Error resolution, problem-solving, and reporting.
This position will work with internal and external customers, including various levels across the company; responsibilities include assisting with Accounts Payable projects.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting for Accounts Payable.
Partner with the GL Accounting team and assist in month-end close procedures.
Identify and help implement process improvement and workflow efficiencies.
Leverage technology to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of the function requirements.
Ensure SOX compliance by following Procure 2 Pay policies and keeping updated reports and records.
Create and maintain SOPs for the AP Department; create job aids for future acquisitions.
Conduct onboarding training for new AP team members.
Support testing and deploying of ERP modules as needed.
Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams.
Develop and maintain healthy and highly respectful business relationships with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders through professionalism, responsiveness, and superb customer service.
Escalate issues in relevant forums as needed.
Other responsibilities and duties as defined from time to time by the Accounts Payable Operation Manager.
Job Requirements
5+ years of Accounts Payable and General Ledger accounting experience.
BS/BA Degree or equivalent, preferably with a strong analytical background.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Capable of taking the initiative to drive process change and improvements.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic setting while maintaining accuracy and delivering against deadlines.
Motivated to work cross-functionally in a customer service-oriented capacity.
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics AX) is a plus.
Strong Excel skills required, strong attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build relationships with customers and team members.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize to meet deadlines.
