Accountant I
The Accountant I will be responsible for fixed assets and monthly accounting functions for the company.
Essential Job Functions
Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern
Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM's Core Values
Prepares and maintains financial and business transactions, requires an understanding of both accounting theory and practice
Reviews and create fixed asset transactions
Ensures the adequacy of the fixed asset reporting in the accounting system
Interprets the meaning of accounting records, reports and statements
Executes SOX controls and maintains proper documentation
Assists with preparation of fixed asset audit requests for various external and internal audits
Prepares and books the standard monthly fixed asset journal entries
Prepares reconciliations of general ledger accounts
Helps prepares fixed asset lead schedules, flux analysis monthly and other financial analysis
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
Zero (0) to three (3) years' experience in Accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
High attention to detail
Experience using MS Dynamics AX preferred
Work Conditions
Position is located at the corporate office
Work is conducted in a semi-private office/cubicle setting
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
Physical and Mental Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits employee to communicate effectively
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
