The Applications Development Technology Senior Lead Analyst is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the design, development, and delivery of mission‑critical applications supporting the term & flow business in Market's Financing desk. This role leads the end‑to‑end development lifecycle for Repo STP and Inventory Management platforms, spanning intuitive front‑end interfaces and highly resilient back‑end services. The candidate will partner closely with business stakeholders, trading desks, and desk heads to translate complex requirements into scalable technology solutions. The role also involves leading a global development team, setting technical direction, and ensuring high availability, performance, and regulatory compliance. The overall objective is to deliver robust, architecturally sound systems that enable straight‑through processing and efficient funding operations.

Responsibilities

Lead integration of functions to meet goals, deploy new products, and enhance processes

Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to define and develop solutions to high level problems

Provide expertise in area of advanced knowledge of applications programming and plan assignments involving large budgets, cross functional project, or multiple projects

Develop application methodologies and standards for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

Utilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas to achieve technology goals

Consult with end users to identify system function specifications and incorporate into overall system design

Allocate work, and act as an advisor/coach developers, analysts, and new team members

Influence and negotiate with senior leaders and communicate with external parties

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

10+ years of relevant experience

Experience in implementing projects

Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications

Demonstrated Subject Matter Expert (SME) in area(s) of Funding/Repo Applications Development.

Demonstrated knowledge of client core business functions

Demonstrated leadership, project management, and development skills

Relationship and consensus building skills

Education

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master’s degree preferred

Additional Qualifications

Strong understanding of Repo trade lifecycle, including STP flows and Inventory Management for Funding desks

Proven experience leading global technology teams and collaborating directly with business and trading stakeholders

Hands‑on expertise in front‑end and server‑side component design and development

Advanced programming skills in Angular, NodeJS, .Net/C#, Java, Caching using GEMFIRE & Ignite and enterprise messaging frameworks such as Kafka

Deep experience in application architecture, system design, and performance‑driven engineering

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical leadership capabilities

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00 salary range. In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
