Job Summary
City's Forklift Operators are responsible for warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and driving a forklift to move product either to locations within the warehouse/facility or onto a truck. This role also ensures all relevant information is accurately updated in the warehouse management system.
Selected candidate must be willing to work any and all shifts, weekends and holidays when necessary to cover the needs of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
Loads and/or unloads delivery vehicles to ensure the correct product is received and/or loaded
Receives and unloads product to be placed into inventory; product may be received from an over-the-road truck or local truck
Ships out customer orders, dunnage (empties), pallets, etc. and ensures proper paperwork with each load
Loads pallets of product into identified locations with proper stacking and rotation of products
Moves pallets of product into the system
Checks completed pallets of product for accuracy and adding / subtracting any additional pallets / cases as required
Manages inventory movement through warehouse management system whenever receiving or moving product to ensure inventory accuracy
Receives all breakage by properly filling out a claim form to verify that all is written off or accounted for by the inventory technician
Conducts a daily pre and post-shift inspection of assigned forklift to ensure safe operation and proper maintenance of the equipment
Maintains a safe/clean warehouse in an AIB-certified environment
Applies safe work standard in all tasks including environmental, health, and safety (EHS) laws, good manufacturing practices (GMP), HACCP and any other regulations along with City Brewery policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous forklift experience
Experience working with RFID scanners, preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Must be capable of passing forklift certification (to be provided by City Brewery)
Strong communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds
Effective analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
