About the Mission You Will Join
The Department of State has entrusted VMD to perform internal and external‑facing informational websites and web applications activities specifically for the Bureau of Consular Affairs. VMD’s mission is to perform operations and maintenance, decommissioning, and modernization activities over legacy websites to support ongoing operations and to modernize its website governance, architecture, and design.
Your Impact to the Mission
Work with Business Analysts and Scrum teams to define and document business functional requirements and rules.
Develop meeting minutes, procedures, manuals, and other documentation.
Learn how to respond to, troubleshoot, facilitate, and fulfill helpdesk tickets.
Learn to support daily, weekly, and quarterly Scrum ceremonies.
Learn to support the reporting of Scrum/release metrics to the Program as needed.
Learn to support testing of new releases as necessary.
Experience Needed to Be Successful
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications, including Excel.
Must have excellent (verbal and written) communication and organizational skills.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
IT classes or training if you possess a non‑technical degree.
Department of State or Bureau of Consular Affairs experience is a plus.
Visa or Passport applications experience is a plus.
Basic Qualifiers
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree.
Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? Yes.
Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 2.
Minimum Years of Specific Experience in Field: 2.
Minimum Clearance to Start: Secret.
Work Status Allowable: US Citizenship.
