
Superintendent

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. This role manages subcontractors, coordinates daily operations, and serves as the primary on-site leader.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Execution
Oversee day-to-day construction activities on the job site
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and labor
Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and building codes
Maintain project schedule and sequencing of work
Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress and quality
Scheduling & Planning
Develop and manage short-term and long-term project schedules
Coordinate inspections, deliveries, and subcontractor work
Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays
Quality Control
Enforce quality standards and workmanship expectations
Review and verify completed work before inspections
Manage punch lists and ensure timely completion
Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks
Ensure a safe work environment for all personnel on site
Communication & Coordination
Collaborate closely with Project Managers and office staff
Serve as main point of contact on-site for subcontractors and vendors
Provide regular updates on progress, issues, and risks
Maintain daily logs and site reports
