Technical Linguist
With all the information available today, it takes a skilled linguist to know how to find and interpret the best data to give our clients the right answers. As a Technical Linguist on our team, you’ll use your language skills in translation to enable better analytic understanding of various systems, validate information, and provide client tradecraft as you build technical translations. You will be the authority on translations, delivering time‑critical recommendations under pressure.

Responsibilities
• Translate technical military documents and systems manuals.
• Develop technical translations that provide actionable intelligence and context to clients.
• Validate and analyze highly technical documents to support critical decision‑making.
• Mentor and share methodologies with other analysts, contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience translating technical military documents and systems manuals.

Experience translating large documents.

Ability to decipher highly technical documents.

Score of 2/2 on the Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT) in Mandarin Chinese.

TS/SCI clearance.

High school diploma or GED.

Nice to Have

Experience working with the U.S. Army.

Bachelor’s degree.

Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation
Salary range: $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The projected compensation range reflects typical salaries for this position and is part of Booz Allen’s total compensation package. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
