Senior Accountant Financial Reporting
Base salary: $100,000-$130,000 (depending on experience). Location: Greater Phoenix, AZ (hybrid schedule – 4 days on-site).
Vaco has partnered with a prestigious banking company to hire a Senior Accountant. This role offers strong exposure to SEC and regulatory reporting while working closely with financial reporting leadership on high‑impact initiatives. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, supporting close activities, and maintaining compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities include:
Prepare and review daily and monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, resolving issues as needed.
Address reconciliation and process exceptions while meeting internal service‑level expectations.
Serve as the accounting lead on projects, including new product launches and system integrations.
Prepare and support key recurring reports, combining hands‑on work with issue resolution.
Operate as both a hands‑on individual contributor and a project lead in cross‑functional initiatives.
Requirements:
SOX experience required
Experience with leading complex projects
5+ years of public accounting and public company experience required
BS in Accounting and Finance required
