Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, New York has an exciting new opportunity for a Maintenance Technician. The purpose of this position is to identify root cause and implementing corrective actions while repairing and maintaining a wide variety of CNC and non-conforming (N/C) equipment. The successful incumbent will support production through effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.

The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hour.
Provide troubleshooting and repair support for CNC and production equipment as required
Identify root cause and implement corrective actions for equipment failures
Troubleshoot machine issues within mechanical alignment, electrical hardware, CNC controls and software, peripheral devices, and automation systems.
Perform repairs involving servo systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Interpret mechanical, electrical, and assembly drawings
Adhere to all company employment policies, safety rules, and safe work practices
Maintain accurate documentation and support technical reporting when required
Perform other duties as assigned and proactively identify opportunities to add value
Position Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience with CNC controls, servo systems, PLCs, automation systems, and machine tool maintenance
Strong mechanical background in precision measurement, machine tool theory, and hydraulics and pneumatics
FANUC and SIEMENS CNC experience preferred
Prior technical writing experience preferred
