While episodes are recorded (not streamed live), callers join live on video—requiring tight production, strong judgment, and thoughtful caller management to ensure emotionally safe, high‑quality conversations.
Role Overview
We’re hiring a senior, in‑person Guest Booker and Casting Manager to lead guest acquisition across three flagship shows. This role blends high‑level relationship‑driven booking with hands‑on casting and screening for a live call‑in relationship show.
You’ll be responsible for securing top‑tier experts for long‑form YouTube and podcast interviews and identifying, vetting, and preparing real people seeking relationship or love advice to appear remotely on Love Theory.
This is a trust‑heavy role. You’ll be handling public figures, sensitive topics, and emotionally vulnerable participants—while protecting the integrity, tone, and brand of the shows.
Key Responsibilities
Expert Guest Booking (Impact Theory & Women of Impact)
Book high‑caliber expert guests in:
Psychology, relationships, and human behavior
Politics, global affairs, and geopolitics
Finance, economics, and macro trends
Leverage existing relationships with:
Talent agents and managers
Publicists and PR firms
Authors, academics, economists, and media figures
Pitch shows clearly and credibly to senior‑level talent
Casting & Screening – Love Theory (Call‑In Show)
Manage the intake pipeline for individuals seeking relationship or love advice
Conduct pre‑screen interviews with potential callers appearing remotely
Assess participants for:
Story clarity and relevance
Emotional readiness and boundaries
On‑camera presence and communication ability
Alignment with show tone, values, and audience expectations
Flag sensitive, high‑risk, or inappropriate situations before booking
Prepare selected participants for live or recorded appearances
Relationship & Brand Stewardship
Serve as a trusted representative of the brand across all shows
Maintain professionalism, discretion, and empathy—especially with vulnerable participants
Ensure guests and callers feel supported, prepared, and respected
Production & Editorial Collaboration
Work in‑person with producers, hosts, and leadership on guest strategy
Coordinate scheduling, confirmations, prep materials, and run‑of‑show needs
Provide editorial input on guest selection and episode planning
Qualifications
Must‑Have Experience
5–8+ years experience booking guests for YouTube and/or podcast shows
Proven success booking experts and thought leaders in:
Psychology & relationships
Politics & global affairs
Finance & economics
Experience casting or screening real people for live, call‑in, or reality‑adjacent formats
Strong interviewing instincts and emotional intelligence
Ability to work in‑person in Los Angeles (not remote or hybrid)
Excellent judgment, discretion, and follow‑through
Preferred
Experience with live or semi‑live productions
Background in casting, producing, or talent development
Comfort navigating emotionally sensitive subject matter
Familiarity with YouTube‑first and live audience engagement formats
Compensation & Benefits
Salaried at $90,000 - $125,000 USD per year
