## The key principle of this job is to support the mission of Abilene Christian University in educating students for Christian service and leadership throughout the world.Scope: Responsible to the Chair of the Department of

Kinesiology & Nutrition for serving as office manager, receptionist, faculty support, and working with budget items.A. Provide support for department chair and faculty* Type/process correspondence, reports, class schedules, condensed schedules, etc.* Maintain calendar for chair, schedule appointments, etc.* Greet/direct students, visitors via the phone or in person* Take notes and prepare minutes of department meetings* Handle mail-outgoing/incoming, UPS, FedEX, etc.

Organize and maintain departmental records and activities* Maintain departmental employee files* Maintain various forms/degree plans and flyers used by the department and for mentoring and recruiting* Maintain office equipment and supplies* Maintain capital equipment files* Maintain alumni tracking files* Schedule building/room/facility requests* Maintain key security/issuance for the building* Follow-up department textbook requisitionsC.

Perform budget related tasks* Track accounts Workday* Prepare compensation forms for overload and adjuncts* Maintain requisitions/purchasing/receiving* Maintain purchase order records* Maintain, track and reallocate P-Cards and prepare monthly reports* Enter and maintain records of student chargesD.

Supervise student and part-time office workers and related tasks* Recruit, interview and assist in the hiring of student workers* Prepare time sheet roster* Approve students timeE.

Perform other duties as needed or assigned and handle special projectsIII.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.* Education and/or experience equivalent to high school plus three years* Knowledge of business math (accounting preferred) and English* Typing/Word Processing and telephone skills* Good communication skills verbally and in writing* Working knowledge of all department degree plans* Well-developed interpersonal and social skills* Organizational and detail skills; multi-tasking ability* Able to work in a busy environment* Flexibility, discretion and able to maintain confidentiality* Willingness and courage to take on new skill demandsIV.
