$17.79 to $21.63 PER hour
40 hrs/wk M-F (weekends during fair)

About Clatsop County

Today Clatsop County is one of nine Home Rule counties in Oregon. Five non-partisan elected Commissioners set policy and appoint a full-time County Manager, who is responsible for daily operations. County services are provided through these divisions: County Administration (County Manager), Assessment and Taxation, Budget and Finance, County Clerk, Juvenile, Public Health, Public Works, Community Development, the District Attorney, and Sheriff's Offices. The county also administers a road district, a rural law enforcement district, and a local sewer district.
The Position

Seeking TWO to FOUR seasonal workers to help maintain the Fair & Expo facilities and grounds during the summer months. This position's duties include event setup and cleanup, operating equipment and tools, janitorial tasks, landscape maintenance, and other assignments as needed. Includes occasional weekends and holidays with overtime pay as required by law and county policy.
Schedules: The immediate need includes 1-2 positions that will work full time from June to August and 1-2 positions for the week of the County Fair (July 22 August 2). Please specify in your application materials if you are available to work June August, or only the week of Fair.
Mandatory Qualifications

Must possess a valid Oregon State Class C driver's license.
Requested Qualifications

Previous experience in maintenance, custodial work, or related field preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment operation.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
