What you'll do:
We are looking for an energetic and dedicatedLaboratory Technician - ExtractionFocusedtojoin our growing dynamic team!The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, believe in the goodness of people and cannabis, and enjoys the one team, one dream motto! TheLaboratory Technician - Extraction Focusedwillassistmanufacturing team in the production ofcannabis basedmedicines..This position reports directly to the Laboratory Manager.
What impact youll make:
Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials.
Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials.
Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts.
Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes.
Keeporganizedrecord of all procedures and results.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Able to work independently as well asoperatingas a team.
Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results.
Performs weeklysafety-checksof fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewashstationsand shower stations. Attends safety meetings asrequired.
Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
Able to setup,maintainand repair equipment.
Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability.
Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.
Perform other tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years or older
Associates DegreePreferred
3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds or more.
Attention to detail.
Previous experience in medical cannabis industry.
Starting union rate: $19.92/hr. Competitive union benefits offered. The schedule operates from Monday-Friday 3:30pm-11:30pm.
