Position Summary
The Radiology Technologist serves an important purpose in the radiology department. The key role is to assist the radiologist with the process of imaging, and not that of diagnosis as this is the key role of a physician.
Essential Functions
Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures on patients in a timely manner.
Timely reports information to the Radiologist.
Cleans and maintains equipment and prepares necessary reports and maintains all required records.
Always ensures the safety of patients.
Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives.
On call duties required.
Reports to and depart from work on time and as scheduled.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure.
Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience
One year's experience as a registered technologist, preferred.
Education
Current MRT license with Texas Medical Board required.
Registry eligible ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) upon hire and required within one year of employment.
BLS (Basic Life Support) required upon hire date.
