3rd Shift Extrusion Machine Operator
The Extrusion Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and adjusting polymer extrusion machines to meet production and quality requirements. This role involves machine setup, monitoring computer-controlled parameters, material handling, and supporting packaging operations. The operator maintains a clean, safe work environment and works toward becoming cross-functional within the manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operate polymer extrusion machines to produce finished materials according to specifications
Set up extrusion machines by changing screws and adjusting rollers as required
Use computer controls to monitor and adjust machine temperature, speed, and process settings
Load and unload spools of material onto and off extrusion equipment
Assist with packaging of cartridges while machines are running
Perform routine material handling, lifting up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs periodically
Monitor production output and ensure consistent quality
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times
Follow safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Support cross-training efforts to build skills in additional production areas
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in a machine operator or production role
Hands-on experience operating extrusion machines
Ability to independently operate single-screw extrusion equipment
Comfort using computer-based machine controls
Understanding of basic manufacturing, production flow, and safety practices
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, loading materials, and standing for extended periods
Work Environment
Fast-paced, controlled manufacturing environment
Clean, climate-controlled facility
Required use of PPE including respirator and protective suit
Hands-on interaction with extrusion machinery and material handling equipment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chanhassen, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
