Automation Maintenance Inventory Specialist

The Automation Maintenance Inventory Specialist maintains acceptable and accurate inventory levels of parts in storerooms including initiating order process, purchasing, parts staging, and receiving and issuing parts, and other tasks to appropriate department personnel. Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
Organizes, maintains, and monitors inventory of supplies through audits of stocked items while ensuring adequate levels of parts are maintained.
Provides inventory and parts acquisition support for MDE/ME equipment engineering, manufacturing support team, and automation and fabrication shop.
Configures and manages the set-up of new inventory systems.
Performs obsolescence evaluations of spare parts and complete scrap reports.
Conducts clear communication with technicians, vendors, tooling, buyers, consumables support team.
Partners closely with part vendors and performs logistics on parts to be shipped out for repaid, and rework, completing all required documentation to send with package.
Coordinates logistics on Hot part orders, works with vendors for value pricing.
Assists technicians and departments in locating parts as needed.
Maintains records of inventory and all purchases by use of computerized inventory software.
Initiates order process and completes purchase requisitions for needed materials.
Receives all supplies upon arrival.
Performs receiving, check out, cycle counting activities, and meet conformance with operational standards.
Plan and conduct cycle count inventory of materials to ensure inventory is properly maintained.
Conducts audits of stocked items and ensures adequate levels of parts are maintained.
Run a series of reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis to analyze inventory and ordering accuracy.
Overtime may be required.
Education/Training Required and Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Required and Preferred:
Minimum two years of experience.
What You Bring:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and excellent telephone skills.
Good interpersonal skills with ability to interface with all levels of employees.
Must have basic math skills.
Computer literacy required with ability to perform word processing, to use spreadsheets and familiarity with Windows and computerized inventory software programs.
Organizational skills with ability to work within timelines.
May be required to pass in?house forklift training.
Must have a valid CA driver license and good driving record.
Ability to learn new software such as Oracle Fusion software.
Ability to speak, write and read in Spanish is preferred.
Proficient in the use of ABC methods for physical inventory.
Ability to operate a forklift, flatbed truck, electric cart, and utilize pallet jack.
Demonstrated knowledge of CMMS software Hexagon and JD Edwards.

The hourly rate for this opportunity ranges from $23.25 to $28.00
