The Transportation Specialist plays a key role in supporting these efforts by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of clients to appointments and treatment-related activities. This position maintains professional and supportive interactions with clients while adhering to established standards of care. In coordination with HealthRIGHT 360 management, the Transportation Specialist facilitates auxiliary services both on-site and in the field to address clients' holistic needs and support successful reentry outcomes, including arranging transportation and documenting auxiliary items provided. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate transportation records, conducting periodic house runs, and supporting other departments to promote the overall safety and security of program operations.
Auxiliary items are intended to support participant stabilization during their transition into housing and community living. These items may include clothing, shoes, work tools, bus passes, and enrollment fees for educational or vocational training programs. The goal of these items is to help reduce barriers to employment and promote overall self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation
Safely transport clients in the company provided vehicle following all traffic laws and regulations.
As needed, accompany clients to offsite appointments related to their treatment.
Perform periodic house runs to ensure and maintain the safety and security of the facility.
Client Care
Maintain appropriate staff/client boundaries.
Treat clients with respect and dignity.
Interact with clients in a caring, non-judgmental manner.
Utilize harm reduction and trauma-informed care principles.
Perform crisis intervention and communicate with treatment team as unforeseen situations arise.
Coordinate with HealthRIGHT 360 management to facilitate auxiliary services that address clients' holistic needs and support successful reentry outcomes, including transportation and the documentation of auxiliary items provided to clients.
Provide services in the field.
Vehicle Maintenance and Documentation
Ensure routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections to ensure that the vehicle is in proper working condition.
Perform interior and exterior cleaning of vehicles and refueling.
Maintain all documentation related to vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and usage logs.
Maintain and reconcile invoicing and backup documentation for transportation services.
Adhere to all agency and program safety and health protocols.
Adhere to vehicle cleaning protocols as part of the COVID-19 response.
Maintain accurate vehicle documentation with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements.
Administration and Other Duties
Support other areas of the program or other departments as needed when no driving task is available.
Complete all documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards.
Attend and participate in meetings and training opportunities.
Attend and complete all assigned trainings in a timely manner.
Read and respond to emails when appropriate.
Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
May work evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications
Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education preferred.
Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience
Experience as a driver, preferably in a similar role and in a similar environment.
Administrative experience preferred.
