Manufacturing Technician

This position is responsible for the manufacturing of pharmaceutical assemblies in a GMP environment. It includes various manufacturing tasks as well as the preparation of solutions and production materials.
Responsibilities

Perform daily manufacturing tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Perform setup, verification, and teardown of equipment before and after processing.
Prepare solutions and production materials.
Conduct manufacturing tasks including fabrication, in-process testing, and packaging.
Document production activities in manufacturing lot history records.
Clean up production equipment and production area.
Perform analysis of data as needed.

2+ years of lab experience for the openings in the laboratory department
2+ years of medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing experience for the openings in the formulation department
Formulation Department: 3am-11:30am, some Sat as needed

Perform setup, verification of, and teardown of equipment before and after processing
Prepare solutions and production materials
Perform manufacturing tasks; including fabrication, in-process testing, and packaging
Document production activities in manufacturing lot history records
Clean up production equipment and production area
Utilize pipettes and micro weight
Perform analysis of data (as needed)
Formulation of polymers and spray coating formulations
Ensure activities comply with GMPs
Set up coating machines, coat, inspect and fold balloon catheters
Prepare excipient formulations and spray coating formulations
Microsphere Department: 5am-1:30pm, some Sat as needed

Supports the preparation, mixing, inspection, filtration, and documentation of solutions used in the production of drug-loaded polymer microspheres
Prepare solutions (weighing, mixing, heating, cooling, sampling, filtration)
Operate mixers, jacketed tanks, TCU, peristaltic pumps, ultrasonic baths, bottle rollers, balances
Perform in-process inspections and environmental controls
Complete batch records and controlled documentation accurately
Follow line clearance, cleaning, PPE, and safety requirements
Escalate deviations or out-of-spec results to supervision/engineering
Operating machinery to produce medical device to meet the specifications.
Following manufacturing instructions and update the relevant job documentations accurately for traceability.
Product packing and sterilization preparation.
Product inspection using microscope.
Perform setup, verification of, and teardown of equipment before and after processing.
Prepare solutions and production materials.
Perform manufacturing tasks; including fabrication, in-process testing, and packaging.
Document production activities in manufacturing lot history records.
Clean up production equipment and production area.
Perform analysis of data (as needed)
Troubleshoot product/process related issues.
Work with toxic chemicals and powders in a lab environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience working in a fast-paced cGMP environment.
Ability to work in a controlled lab/manufacturing environment with chemicals.
Comfortable wearing heightened PPE including a respirator or fume hood.
Detail-oriented and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Minimum High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or large-scale medical equipment.
Familiarity with chemistry concepts is highly recommended.
Experience with vialing powder and hands-on equipment dealing with liquids.
Performing test methods using a 400x microscope and using a particle size machine such as a Malvern Mastersizer.

Work in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment requiring adherence to safety protocols. Expect to use advanced technologies and equipment while maintaining high safety standards.
Shifts are available in different departments, including early morning starts with occasional Saturday work.
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, CA.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
