Welder Position

Salary: $24.00-$32.00 Hourly

We are looking for a 1st shift welder to join our growing Vadnais Heights, MN location. If you have TIG welding experience and enjoy working with your hands, this could be a great position for you. Hand laser welding is a plus!

Responsibilities:
Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance
Develops templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts
Determines required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques
Examining finished products and spare parts and comparing them with samples to check whether the specifications are met
Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using measuring instruments
Welding metal, such as fusing metal segments, laser hand welding, using gas tungsten arc, metal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, and other types of welding arcs
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and tack-weld (hand laser welding preferred)
Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
Ability to weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Reading blueprints and performing all necessary measurements
5:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Thursday (10-hour shift)
