Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for a variety of machines including multi-axis mills and lathes.
Lead setup and programming for complex parts, ensuring efficiency, precision, and repeatability.
Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to create accurate machining strategies.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and reduce cycle times.
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues, providing technical guidance to operators and junior machinists.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
Select tooling, speeds, and feeds appropriate for materials and part geometry.
Oversee and assist with machine setup, first article inspections, and validation of new programs.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and maintain detailed documentation.
Perform and guide preventative maintenance practices on CNC equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Requirements:
Minimum 710 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced proficiency with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
Strong knowledge of G-code, multi-axis machining, and tooling applications.
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
Proven experience optimizing programs for efficiency and quality.
Leadership or mentorship experience preferred.
Must be able to work 10-hour shifts (4x10 schedule).
