Responsibilities

Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
Provide companionship and meaningful engagement
Prepare meals and assist with feeding
Perform light housekeeping and laundry
Provide medication reminders (no medication administration)
Escort clients to appointments and errands
Assist with mobility and ensure home safety
Follow individualized care plans and document care provided
Observe, report, and communicate changes in client condition
Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of caregiving experience required
Professional or family caregiving experience accepted
Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or GED preferred
Reliable transportation is required
Valid driver's license required if transporting clients
Must be willing and able to travel to: Huntley, Algonquin, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, and surrounding areas
Must pass background screening
Must be authorized to work in the United States (W-2 employees only)
Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality care
Preferred

CPR / First Aid certification
Experience with Dementia or Alzheimer's care
CNA or HHA certification
Experience with mobility assistance
Qualifications

Experience providing in-home services to seniors or completion/enrollment in a CNA or nursing program
Ability to work independently
Strong judgment and decision-making skills
Reliable transportation between client homes
