MIG Welder

MIG Welder in a fabrication shop is responsible for welding metal components using MIG welding techniques to meet production and quality standards. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, setting up welding equipment, and performing welds on various metal types and thicknesses. The MIG Welder ensures weld integrity, follows safety procedures, maintains equipment, and works collaboratively with the fabrication team to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to understand project requirements, specifications, and priorities.
Perform general labor duties in the machine shop to support production and daily operations.
Assist in other areas of the shop as needed to ensure smooth workflow and on-time completion of projects.
Welding in various positions. Primarily MIG welding, some Stick and TIG if experienced and proficient.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints.
6+ months of MIG Welding
No Job hopper, must have some consistent welding background

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
