Doctoral researcher in Network Traffic Obfuscation - Systems and Network Security

The Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust ( SnT ) at the University of Luxembourg is a leading international research and innovation centre in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT systems and services. We look for researchers from diverse academic backgrounds to contribute to our projects in areas such as: Network Security, Information Assurance, Model-driven Security, Cloud Computing, Cryptography, Satellite Systems, Vehicular Networks, and ICT Services & Applications.
Your role
Successful candidates will join the new Systems and Network Security Group led by Prof. Vincent Lenders. They will contribute to cutting-edge research in network traffic obfuscation and perform the following tasks:
Research: Conduct scientific research to advance the field of network traffic obfuscation on problems related to high-performance packet scheduling and generation
Technology transfer: Work with industrial and governmental partners to transfer the group’s research results into functional prototypes and technology demonstrators for uses cases in wireless and fixed networks
Education: Contribute in the teaching activities of the University’s Cybersecurity Master program and supervise Master students
Dissemination: Present your research results at scientific conferences, journals and technology events
Your profile
A MSc degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, etc.
Interest in security research and/or security engineering
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Multilingual and international character. Modern institution with a personal atmosphere. Staff coming from 90 countries. Member of the “University of the Greater Region”(UniGR)
