Geisinger is proud to offer a Patient Care Technician a $1500 sign on bonus for eligible candidates, $18.94 minimum hiring rate with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $3 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts! Job Duties
The ideal candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual who is committed to delivering the highest quality care to our patients. They will demonstrate a strong ability to meet both the orientation and long-term full-time scheduling requirements of the role. Reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance are essential
this candidate consistently shows up on time and ready to contribute meaningfully each day. They are responsive and dependable, with excellent teamwork and communication skills that foster collaboration and support across the care team. A proactive and engaged presence is key to thriving in this role and ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.
Primary duties may include:
Being the primary facilitator of ADLs: hygiene, toileting, mobility, meals
Collecting vital signs & daily weights
Conducting Point of Care testing
Turning & repositioning patients
Performing equipment checks & exchanges
Dressing care
Removal of Foley Catheter and Peripheral IV
Nasogastric tube removal and performing nasal swabs
Checking code carts and oxygen storage cabinets
