Job Summary
Welder is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture product to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Job Responsibilities:
Mig and/or Tig welding of steel and carbon
Grinding using manual and power tools
Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications (Required)
At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)
Six months of GMAW job and/or training
Proficient in weld techniques and able to read blueprints
Candidate must pass unlimited thickness test prior to employment offer. Visual acuity and blueprint reading test must be completed/pass within 30 days of date of hire
Job Qualifications (Preferred):
Previous manufacturing experience
Include job specific experience necessary
Physical Requirements of the Job:
Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands
Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends
2nd Shift: Monday- Thursday 3pm-1am Overtime as needed during week and/or weekends
