Machinist
As a Machinist, you will operate a variety of machine shop equipment for the production of parts used in the manufacturing of electrical connectors. Your skill level will determine your responsibilities, which include setting up and operating various machinery such as CNC machines, manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and saws.
Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of machine tools and equipment, such as manual lathes, mills, drill presses, cut-off saws, and CNC turning and milling equipment.
Perform setups to produce a variety of production parts and tools from metal, plastics, and other materials.
Inspect all work using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts meet drawing specifications.
Make adjustments and offsets to machines to control speed, material feed, and path to ensure machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products.
Perform work under general to minimal supervision depending on skill level and experience.
Enter accurate daily labor information into the data collection system.
Maintain quality-consciousness and responsibility for all aspects of quality related to work produced.
Have knowledge and general understanding of ISO 9001 quality policies.
Adhere to all safety directives and requirements within the area and facility and fully participate in all 6S activities and daily clean-up.
Perform other duties as directed by Management.
Essential Skills:
At least a couple of years of machining experience.
Ability to run a manual mill or lathe.
Understanding the fundamentals of reading a blueprint/schematic/drawing.
Ability to use metrology tools to measure parts.
Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
CNC experience is a plus.
Welding experience is highly valued.
Experience using CAD/CAM technology is an advantage.
Computer programming experience is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits:
