How you'll contribute
A Certified Nurse Aide CNA who excels in this role:
Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What we're looking for
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
PCA experience preferred.
Education : Required: High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a nursing assistant training course
Experience:
Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred
Licenses : Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant
Certifications : CPR/BCLS certification required.
Schedule: 3x12, Nights (5:45pm - 5:45am), rotating weekends
