Extrusion Line Operator
The Extruder Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating extrusion line equipment, including setup, startup, troubleshooting, quality verification, and continuous production. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and food regulations, and the ability to work overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate extrusion line equipment according to production schedules, BOM, and SOC.
Select, install, and verify proper tooling and resin.
Start-up equipment, position controls, and perform initial product testing.
Monitor production, make process adjustments, and troubleshoot issues.
Perform QC checks to ensure product meets specifications.
Package, label, store finished product, and accurately enter production data.
Clean, return, and stock tooling, packaging, and materials.
Maintain compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
Train Level 1 operators after completion of the 90-day CPP.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work overtime.
Proficient with rulers and hand tachometers.
Ability to read and convert Metric and U.S. Customary measurements (to nearest " or millimeter).
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
Ability to read and comprehend English.
Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using calipers and micrometers.
Mechanical aptitude or manufacturing experience.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors. Be aware of exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, bump caps, gloves, hearing protection, and task-specific equipment such as a respirator when applicable. Shifts available include 2nd and 3rd with occasional weekend overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.40 - $19.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
