Warehouse Order Picker
Pay: $181 per hour
Staffing Inc is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Order Picker to join our team. This is a physically demanding role that requires standing and walking for extended periods and handling building material products ranging from 5 lbs up to 100 lbs. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, efficient, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to meet daily order fulfillment goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders. You will read and interpret pick tickets, identify SKUs, and use scanning tools to ensure order accuracy. Responsibilities also include building and preparing orders for shipment by stacking, wrapping, and strapping skids, as well as loading trucks for delivery. Candidates should be comfortable operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and may have the opportunity to use JLG equipment or hi-lo machinery.
Responsibilities:
Read pick orders and accurately identify SKUs
Prepare orders for shipment by pulling 25 lb100 lb product boxes
Build, wrap, and strap skids for safe transport
Operate JLG equipment, pallet jacks, and potentially hi-lo equipment
Use scanner tools to track and verify inventory
Load trucks efficiently and safely
Problem-solve order issues and assist with customer interactions as needed
Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines
Work efficiently to meet daily productivity goals
Requirements:
1 year of warehouse order picking experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret pick tickets
Strong counting and accuracy skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to remember SKUs and product locations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to self-pace work to meet daily objectives
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining high-quality customer service
Experience with warehouse equipment (JLG, electric pallet jacks, hi-lo, scanners) is a plus
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience is a plus
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift
Basic math and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong work ethic and reliability
