Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide direct personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
Assist residents with mobility, including transferring, turning, positioning, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Support residents with nutritional needs by serving meals, assisting with feeding, and monitoring intake and output.
Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weight, and oxygen saturation.
Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to licensed nursing staff promptly.
Maintain skin integrity by performing routine skin checks, repositioning residents, and reporting any signs of pressure injuries or breakdown.
Collect specimens (urine, stool, sputum) as ordered and assist with diagnostic procedures as directed.
Manage elimination needs by assisting with toileting, incontinence care, catheter care, and maintaining accurate output documentation.
Provide respiratory support by positioning residents to promote optimal breathing and assisting with oxygen therapy as directed.
Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by following infection control protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
Promote resident dignity, privacy, and independence in all aspects of care.
Document care provided and resident observations using electronic or paper charting systems.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning as needed.
Work Schedule: Full-time and part time work schedules available. Work is scheduled Sunday-Saturday, rotating day, evening, and night shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays required. Additional information will be provided during the interview process.
Additional Pay:
Shift Differential - 10% of basic pay for work performed during regularly scheduled hours between 6pm and 6am. (Not authorized for intermittent work schedules)
Weekend Premium - 25% of basic pay for work performed between the hours of midnight Friday and midnight Sunday.
Holiday Pay - 2 times basic hourly rate for regularly scheduled, non-overtime work on a designated holiday.

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).
Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.
Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66
