Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Plating Production Technician
1st Shift (Monday
Friday 7:00am-3:30pm). Overtime is available as needed.
Job Summary:
Under the guidance of the Department Supervisor and/or Product Engineers, performs bath maintenance, evaluates materials, fabricates prototypes, specials and other products/processes that cannot be produced on the main product lines. Assist Engineering, maintenance, and production with equipment modifications or improvements, as well as material adaptability and performance. Assists and performs production functions which may fall outside the roles of maintenance or production personnel.
What you will be doing:
With minimal direction from supervisor or engineering, builds custom samples and prototypes for evaluation.
Performs special testing of products as necessary.
Determines specific requirements from Dale specification, for plating bath maintenance.
Performs bath maintenance for plating lab
Following Engineering or Production direction, perform and/or assist with equipment/material debug and changeovers
Following the appropriate company specifications or under engineering or production direction, completes the manufacture of products.
What you will bring along:
Associates degree in technical field or a minimum of 2 years' equivalent experience
Eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity to accurately process the small parts manufactured
Ability to do average to heavy lifting, occasionally more than 50 lbs.
