Welder

As a welder, you will be responsible for setting up, assembling, and welding products by interpreting work orders, blueprints, and utilizing jigs. You will secure component parts using bolts, clamps, or tack welds and ensure that production needs are met by gathering necessary parts. Your role also includes performing visual inspections of finished products to verify the cleanliness and completeness of welds. This position involves working on an assembly line, requiring flexibility to work in various areas throughout the day based on workflow.
Responsibilities
Set up and assemble products using work orders, blueprints, and jigs.
Secure component parts with bolts, clamps, or tack welds.
Gather parts necessary to meet production needs.
Perform visual inspections of finished products for quality assurance.
Work flexibly across different areas on the assembly line as needed.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of MIG welding experience.
Ability to perform Flat Fillet Weld, Vertical Down Fillet, Flat Butt Weld, Horizontal Butt Weld, Pipe External Fillet, and Pipe Internal Fillet.
Attention to detail and capability to conduct thorough visual inspections of welds.
Proficiency in using hand tools and reading a tape measure.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
Operating an overhead crane is a plus but not required.
Ability to read blueprints is a plus but not required.

Work Environment
You will work in an open-air warehouse, equipped with large fans. However, be prepared for varying temperatures as it can be hot during warm weather and cold when it's chilly. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, with a paid lunch break if remaining on-site. Lunch is scheduled at 11:30, with a break at 2:15. Punctuality is crucial as access is restricted after the workday begins.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clarksdale, MS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
