Saginaw Public Schools Data Management Aide/Student Records Aide

Saginaw Public Schools Data Management Aide/Student Records Aide is responsible for providing assistance to the Executive Director of Special Education and Student Services with data collection, entry, database management, manipulation and reporting for speech, psychology and student records.

Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and related software. Skilled in operating standard office equipment. Skilled typist. Physical demands while performing the duties of this job include sitting for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, such as reading data on a computer screen or reports.
Duties and responsibilities include entering all IEPs into skyward, filing maintenance for speech, psychology and student records, running speech reports/case manager/IEP reports, monitoring Medicaid billing, monitoring inventory of testing protocol/supplies for speech and psychology, corresponding with staff, following up with the ISD, entering all 504 plans into skyward, regularly updating all 504 changes, submitting monthly 504 reports, making files and labels for all incoming IEPs, 504s, and METs, perusing IEP's to determine if LRE is recorded correctly per IEP, input data per IEP's, faxing IEPs/METs to teacher and outside agencies/schools, complying with requests from teachers and ancillary staff, input temporary placements into skyward, greeting and servicing customers at the window, serving as a resource for building secretaries regarding Worksheet Bs, reconciling errors on reports from Accounting Specialist, generating caseloads, changing data from special education maintenance sheet, cloning staff assignments, entering new staff in special education module, reassigning student caseloads to new teachers/transfer teachers, answering the phones, providing support/answering questions to ancillary staff on behalf of the director, updating special education files, and performing other duties as assigned.
Education and/or experience includes high school graduate or equivalent, specific successful vocational credentials in Computer Science, associate's degree in Computer Science preferred, and previous successful experience with data collection, entry, database management and reporting preferred.
Special requirements include attending any training as mandated.
Working conditions are in an office environment where there is no physical discomfort due to temperature, noise, dust or the like.
Supervisory, fiscal, curricula responsibilities are none.
Method of evaluation is in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel. Starting pay is $20.44.
