An education organization is seeking to hire a Payroll Specialist. In this seat, you will be the only person processing payroll for 6 different union contracts. Additionally, you will report to the Director of Finance and be using HARPERS software. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of payroll processing experience, has handled union payroll, and preferably comes out of the municipality/education space (not required). Responsibilities - Process and audit payroll information in a timely manner - Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions - Collaborate with HR to ensure proper handling of employee benefits deductions - Utilize various payroll software systems such as PeopleSoft, Paychex, HRIS, Ceridian, Kronos, and UltiPro - Conduct general ledger account reconciliations related to payroll - Assist with accounts payable functions as needed Requirements - Proficiency in using payroll software such as PeopleSoft, Paychex, HRIS, Ceridian, Kronos, and UltiPro - Knowledge of financial concepts related to payroll processing - Experience with general ledger reconciliation - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
