Hy-Chi Department Clerk
As a Hy-Chi Department Clerk, this position will be responsible for filling customer orders, handling food in a safe manner, ordering and receiving products, making sure orders are correct, and labeling dating, and putting product away. Additionally you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

This position reports to the District Store Director, Store Managers, Assistant Managers of Store Operations, Perishables, Health Wellness Home, Hy-Chi Department Manager, Assistant Hy-Chi Department Manager, and Service Managers.
Primary duties and responsibilities include providing prompt, efficient and friendly customer service, working with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction, reviewing orders for the day, practicing proper sanitation procedures, ensuring the work area is clean and neat, reviewing the status and appearance of the food for freshness, preparing, finishing, and replenishing product as necessary, running the department register, removing trash in a timely manner, maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress, and adhering to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Secondary duties and responsibilities include washing dishes, ordering product and supplies, pricing product for customers, delivering orders, assisting in other areas of store, and performing other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Education and experience required include high school or equivalent experience and six months or less of similar or related experience. Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual requirements include vision from 20 inches or less to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, and field of vision. This position is continually exposed to flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes, and there is occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals/solvents.
The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $13.50 to $16.80 depending on experience.
