Cabinet Assembler
Black Bear Talent is recruiting for a Cabinet Assembler for our client in Harrisonburg, VA. The Cabinet Assembler is responsible for assembling cabinets and cabinet components in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on reading basic drawings, assembling parts accurately, installing hardware, and ensuring finished products meet quality standards.
Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm, overtime required. $14.50 @hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble cabinets and cabinet components using provided drawings or instructions
Operate basic woodworking equipment and hand tools safely
Install cabinet hardware such as hinges, drawer slides, and pulls
Measure, cut, sand, and adjust components as needed for proper fit
Inspect assembled cabinets for quality and accuracy
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow company safety policies and production procedures
Communicate with supervisors regarding work progress or issues
Work efficiently to meet daily production goals
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1+ year of experience in cabinet assembly, millwork, or woodworking (preferred but not required)
Ability to read a tape measure accurately
Experience using common woodworking tools such as saws, sanders, drills, and routers
Basic understanding of cabinet construction and assembly methods
Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Must pass pre-employment background and drug screen
Good attendance record
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs with assistance as needed
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
Work Environment
Work is performed in a manufacturing shop environment
Exposure to noise, dust, and woodworking materials
Use of power tools and machinery with appropriate safety equipment
