You will also attend a thorough orientation and training to excel in your role. As a Med Tech you will be in charge of:
Providing assistance to residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking
Administering medications and injections to residents based on physicians' orders recorded in medical charts
Ensuring the cleanliness of the environment which may involve light housekeeping duties
Complying with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures
Monitoring for changes in residents' conditions and promptly communicate any changes to the supervisor
Following schedule, assisting residents with repositioning
Adhering to procedures regarding documenting of medications accurately
Utilizing good judgment in providing client care and ensuring their safety
Assisting other team members with their duties as necessary
Responding to call lights and assess residents' needs promptly
Obtain meal trays and assist with eating
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
