Production Helper Responsibilities:
Assembling cups into boxes, running them through tape and labeler machines, ensuring cleanliness, proper lid placement, and absence of excess ice cream
Placing pints into trays with meticulous attention to cleanliness, lid placement, and application of code dates
Arranging cups into trays with a focus on proper lid placement and cleanliness, eliminating excess ice cream
Labeling, filling, and sealing 2
gallon or 3-gallon containers accurately, ensuring optimal fill levels and removing any excess ice cream
Operating a 3-gallon forming machine to shape the containers effectively
Transporting 3-gallon containers to designated stations
Re-sealing boxes post-production, labeling them, and organizing for storage
Assisting machine operator in acquiring candies or variegates as needed
Cleaning around the machine during downtime for changeovers or maintenance
Replacing garbage boxes as required, weighing the full box, and replacing it with a new bagged box
Initiating product flow at the beginning of the spiral, ensuring cleanliness, proper coding, and labeling, and maintaining records in the spiral log
Clearing ice cream near drains during available time
Potentially working in the freezer as necessary
Requirements For Production Helper:
- High school diploma or equivalent - Basic math skills - Ability to follow detailed instructions - Ability to work in cold environment - Ability to stand for long hours, bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs - Familiarity with basic machinery, tools - Previous factory or manufacturing experience is preferred but not necessary
