Certified Medical Assistant - Radiation Oncology - FT

Certified Medical Assistant - Radiation Oncology - FT provides direct and indirect patient care in ambulatory settings under the supervision of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, RNs, or LPNs. This role supports the delivery of safe, efficient, and age-appropriate care by assisting with exams, procedures, screenings, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with state regulations and practice policies. CMAs also manage patient flow, maintain accurate medical records, perform basic laboratory and clinical tasks, administer medications, and educate patients on home care and assistive devices. As part of a collaborative, team-based model, the CMA contributes to quality improvement initiatives and helps optimize the overall patient experience.
Education: Required: High school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR military equivalent training. Preferred: Experience: Required: 0-2+ years CMA experience or specialty certification One year of clinical medical assistant experience within the last 5 years. Preferred: Previous MA experience Phlebotomy Skills Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and to be maintained going forward. Clinical Medical Assistant Certification Preferred: For Medical Assistants who work in areas with DNV Advanced Specific Disease Certification requirements: -Ortho: 4 hours education annually -Stroke: 1 hours education annually -Spine: 2 hours education annually
