Position Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will support our veterinarians and staff in delivering high-quality care to animals and ensuring a smooth clinic operation.
Key Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
Handle and restrain animals safely and humanely
Prepare treatment areas and equipment
Perform basic laboratory tests and sample collection
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic
Provide excellent customer service to pet owners
Assist with appointment scheduling and patient records management
Monitor hospitalized animals and report any changes to the veterinary team
Qualifications
Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related role preferred
Strong animal handling skills and a genuine love for animals
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and technologies
