Production Line Worker
Edsal Manufacturing is North America's leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of high-quality steel shelving and cabinets for garage, basement, storage, and commercial applications. We continue to have operating sites throughout the United States in Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and California.
Responsible for keeping the production lines moving by performing a variety of manual duties to assemble, check and package products. Position rotates through production lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lift and hang product/remove hung product
Feed material into designated machines
Sort and stack product
Finish and assemble and finish product parts
Check product for quality
Package finished product
Follow all safety regulations and company guidelines
Maintain clean work area and production floor
Duties/tasks as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities
Ability to complete repetitive tasks
Ability to follow direction
Attention to detail
Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or combination of education or experience. OJT, previous experience in a factory/plant/warehouse a plus.
Physical/Mental Demands
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must be able to lift and/or move at least 50 pounds.
